Portland's "Arctic Blast"

We got snow on December 14th and very cold weather...for Oregon. It was in the 20's so the snow stuck around and it was snowing again today. Rob and Brayden went out to play.

Our front yard.

Obviously this is not a big snow man!

'Frosty' is apx. 12" high....impressive, I know.

Christmas 2008

Christmas came early in our house this year. Santa came the night of December 12th. When I asked Rob what he wanted for his Birthday this year, he replied "Christmas"....so since we were having Christmas early due to traveling for the Holidays, we had Christmas on Rob's birthday.

K-O-H-L-E-R

Last week Brayden informed me that "K-O-H-L-E-R spells toilet". He was reading the letters from the back of the toilet. Now that he knows the letters, perhaps we can start teaching him how to read!

Thanksgiving 2008 - Roseville CA

We took a roadtrip to Roseville, CA to visit family for Thanksgiving this year. It took us almost 11 hours to get there, including several stops. We had so much fun and are very grateful to my aunt and uncle for letting us stay with them. We also had family visiting from Wisconsin including my grandmother, aunt, uncle, cousin and his daughter.
(The pictures are in no particular order)

Brayden and Ryan. Ryan is the son of my cousin. The boys played together very well. In this photo, they were marching around the house playing instruments.

Noah has another tooth coming in...hence the drool down his shirt.

Brayden and great grandmother Helen.

Ryan and Brayden taking a picture of me taking a picture of them.

So darn cute...the boys brushing their teeth together.

What the heck is blue creepy thing?? And why is it talking to me??

Update

Update:
Noah started crawling on November 17th and is exploring the house with his new found freedom. Now our cat has two kids to watch out for, since they both like to chase him!

Just a Funny:
Brayden woke up from his nap and said “I sure want to watch tv.” I asked him how badly he’d like to watch it; his reply was “I want to watch it nicely.” Now how can I turn that down?

Sorry no new photos right now. New photos will be added new week.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas List

Brayden and I wrote his Christmas Wish List today. Here are a couple of his requests (word by word). These are so funny....
-Dinosaurs
-Books about scary things like Wolves, Monsters, Bears, and Dinosaurs
-Big Scary Dinosaur
-Big Scary Scary Scary Dinosaur
-Scary Big Big Big SCARY Dinosaur

Hallowween 2008

Brayden in his SuperWhy costume. SuperWhy is a cartoon that teaches letters, words, and problem solving.

A local strip mall had trick or treating in the afternoon while it was still light outside. We took Brayden trick or treating there before going in our neighborhood at night. Brayden actually got tired of Trick or Treating and was ready to come home and check out the loot.

Noah was already in bed sleeping before Trick or Treating started. Mom got to stay home with a book and answer the door.

Pumpking Carving - October 29, 2008

Brayden did a great job helping to carve his own pumpkin. He decided to take a break with the 'poker' stuck in his pumpkins eye....hmmmm.

Rob showing Brayden how to carve the pumpkin.

Brayden punching holes in his pumpkin so mom can carve it after. Brayden worked diligently for almost an hour on this.

The final product. Rob's "Little Devil", Brayden's "Surprised Face", and Teresa's "Racoon in a Pumpkin".
